    Default Mom's condition

Just returned from a long and harrowing trip to Pennsylvania concerning my mother. LONG story short, I had to bring her back to Arizona with me to live with us. She is simply too far gone physically and mentally to continue to live alone deep in the Pennsylvania forest anymore. VERY difficult to live with! Fishing is out of the picture for the duration.Prayers for her sadness at leaving her life long home and improving her mental capabilities would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Well this didn't work out very well. She insists on returning to Pennsylvania. Living alone at 90 and with her short term memory absolutely terrible, I feel that it is a very poor decision on her part but there it is. We're flying back there on the 20th and I return on the 24th. My son will be checking up on her a couple weekends a month and I'm hiring an in-home service to come to her home 3 days a week to make sure she has meals and takes her medication. My son has no idea what he will be in for. Wish us a safe trip and pray for her well being up in the frozen north with virtually no neighbors in the winter.

Well, we depart in the morning and I'll be back home again Friday. It sure has been an experience.

There is a reason it's called fishing and not catching.

The agency evaluated her yesterday and confirmed that Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 4 hours a day will be all she needs for now. Plus my son will be there on many weekends. Tough situation.
