WHITE CLAY CREEK, Del. ?Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife says White Clay Creek received its annual fall stocking of trout today.

DNREC Fisheries staff and volunteers stocked about 1,000 pounds of rainbow trout throughout creek at all normal stocking locations from near the border with Pennsylvania downstream to Newark. Volunteers used float boxes to carry about 800 fish from the trucks to the creek. Fall stockings have occurred at White Clay Creek since 2007.

From the Delaware freshwater trout fishing program website White Clay Creek runs from the Pennsylvania line to the down stream side of Paper Mill Road. White Clay Creek from a point 25 yards above Thompson Bridge at Chambers Rock Road to the Pennsylvania line is designated as a restricted trout stream for fly fishing only.
