    Default BPS Extreme Reels

    I was just on the Bass Pro Shops site and saw that the BPS Extreme bait cast reels are on clearance for $59.99. Does anyone know if BPS is discontinuing these excellent reels? I have one and love it. $59.99 is a steal for these reels.

    Cool

    If they do stop selling them...you can always find some on eBay.

    I sure hope they don't phase them out, they're easily one of the best bait cast reels for under $100.00!

    I have had several of the Extreme reels over the years and found them to be good reels for the price. Their functunality is very good. I gotta tell ya tho, I tried one of the Tourney Special reels several years ago (49.99 currently). These reels are SUPER. I've probably bought 8 or ten of them. I had to send one or two back for different reasons but the replacement reel (also Tour. Spec.) were also great.
    For $50 you can't beat them. Not as smooth as the Abu Revo SXs I have recently bought but at one fourth the cost and MUCH easier to adjust from lure to lure, Im seriously considering going back to the BPS reels.
    Just had to share!!!!
    Cheers to all

    alk402 is right...that Tourney Special is a good reel for $50...but the Extreme for $60 is unbelievable! For just $10 more...you're getting an aluminum frame reel the same caliber as a Shimano Curado...and it sells for $159!

    Yeppers, you'd be hard pressed to find a better made, better handling bait cast reel for under $100. I love my Extreme!

    My wife uses the older model with the gold handle. I had one of the newer low profile ones, but returned it. No complaints really, it was a nice reel, just not my cup of tea.
    My wife says she is gonna leave me if I go fishing one more time. Lordy, how I will miss her. <")))><{
