Pond Ice Struggles

Sam

Member
Hey guys! How's everyone been?? So there is this pond in my area, that I can slam the bass, crappie, and bluegill all summer and spring long. Well now we have ice. Went out yesterday, and cut holes on all parts of the pond. Everywhere I checked was 10 feet of water. Dropped down a small jig with wax worm, and nothing. Not a bite. What else is there to try?

You could be jigging to fast maybe try to slow it down. Other than that nightcrawlers and minns. A lot of guys here are picking them off of high weed or brush piles.
