Report Catfishing at Little River Park

Jerry A
I met an acquaintance at Little River Park on Lake Sidney Lanier for a bank fishing adventure last Sunday afternoon. We fished from 2-5:30 pm without luck. We tried night crawlers on bottom and there seemed to be a few bait thieves, probably bream. He had some playing with a little hook under a float and some yellow corn. They wouldn't take it but would sit there and pick at it until they stripped the hook clean. We had time to go over his tackle, suggest various rigging options and even other areas he can try during the week, since he's retired.

On the flip side it was the first time this Coast Guard Veteran had been out for some time. I believe he said it had been 8 years since the last time he'd been fishing. So no luck with the fish but we had a great time kicking back with some cool weather like Stingray had mentioned in his post. ^! We'll hook up again soon!
