Bluewater Lake, NM 2013

New member
On one of our trips to Bluewater Lake, last year, Grandma and Travis were lucky enough to hook on to a Tiger Musky.
I don't know which lure Sue (Grandma) was using but her fish measured in at 32".
Travis (Grandson) was trolling with a Red Devil,I believe, with an ultra light rod and 7# line. His measured in at 38".
Minimum length, in NM, is 40" so both went back and lived to fight again.
Travis' fish was a bugger to bring in, a real fighter and we realized why when we netted him and found, that apparently the fish tried to slap the lure and had hooked his tail ! So dragging the fish in, backwards lent to the struggle.
Good time was had that day.
We are headed back next week, for our first outing of the year. ^!
