Default New Reels for Fly Fishing

Einarsson Fly Fishing, a quality maker of Fly Fishing Reels located in Ireland. The goal? Produce quality reels that are durable and have the least impact on the environment.

A neat feature for fly fishing enthusiasts is the Smooth Brake System. "For years the founder of Einarsson Fly Fishing, Steingrimur Einarsson had a dream of a perfect brake system in a fly reel. A brake that would be smoother than any other ever made." A recent post on their site states that the Smooth Brake System is indeed a success.

"The result from this summer´s testing are better than we could have ever imagined. "Amazing", "fantastic and "... ohhhh, it so smooth" are some comments we have gotten from the people that have been so kind in helping us to test the reel and the new brake."

Plus Reels

So what's in the package? Here's what they offer:

Made in Iceland
Our reels are machined and assembled at our factory in Iceland. By Monitoring the entire process we uphold our standard of the ‘highest quality’.

Made to last
The aluminum parts of our reels are machined out of aircraft grade 6061 T6 to ensure strength and stability for a lifetime of hard use. A strong yet lightweight construction is key to our products.

Fully sealed brake system
Fresh water, salt water, sand…it doesn’t matter; the brake system is completely sealed.

Anodizing
Reels are anodized according to Type II specifications to withstand saltwater.

A silky smooth drag
After years of testing, we came up with a combination of materials that ensure a silky smooth drag that retains constant force at all settings.

Outsourced components
Everything is done in-house with the unique exception of our bearings which are engineered for us in a highly specialized European engineering work.

"Embarking on the journey for the perfect brake system in a fly reel, the design team of Einarsson started to work with this one goal in mind. The result is a patent-pending technology, which we truly believe can make the difference when fighting a fish."

Wow, those are some nice looking reels. I don't even want to know the price on those.
