Ok I think it is about time to start a new fly swap. I have learned a few lessons from the last swap that I will try to resolve this time around.
First off I opened up ten spots plus myself but not all of the spots were filled. Everyone started on their fly’s and sent in 10 so I had extra. This time I will open it up for a limited time and ask that no one start until we know how many are joining. That way you know how many you need to tie or purchase.
Second issue is that sending the fly’s back to you ended up being more pricey than I thought so I will ask that you send me your fly’s in a padded envelope along with 2.00 postage that I can send back to you.

After reviewing the answers from to fly swap poll we will go with the streamer theme. This could be any kind of streamer you like of either your own design or a proven pattern. To give everyone an opportunity to participate we will allow store bought fly’s again but it would be nice even if you are just starting out(like me) to give tying them yourself a try (dugger you got a bunch of nice material from the last swapJ.)
So here it is, the summer fly swap will be for streamers. Since everyone gets busy in the summer with fishing and family vacations the fly’s will be due to me by Friday August 31st. I will leave the signup open until next Friday June 29th. At that point everyone can start on their fly’s and we will know how many to tie up. There will be max of 10 spots plus myself. As before it will also be open to purchased fly’s. you will do 10 fly’s or the number of folks who sign up if less than 10 and receive that # of different fly’s back. Please post or PM me if you want in. if possible let me know what you plan to submit so I can post it for folks to know what to get excited about.

I am not sure yet what my contribution will be. I have not done to many streamers but I tried a few ideas over the weekend but they did not turn out like I wanted. I have been checking out some classic streamer patterns and may go that direction.
