Cool

Well...yesterday was about as close to a skunk as one could come. I fished hard all day and only caught this one puny bass. I'll blame this on the weatherman and his fouled up forecast!

I managed to break the fly pole out for the first time in 2 years. Went to the crick (creek); Western PA people will understand and managed to catch a couple small chubs, I could not find anything during the daytime to match with so once it got a little darker I managed to snag a nice 14 inch trout with a white caddisfly which is what came out before dark.

I spent 5hours altogether and only caught 1 trout, but it was still a better day than any amount of my job.

I have always said a bad day fishing is better than a good day working.
in my case it's better than a good day looking for work.LOL
but then I have never had a bad day fishing as far back as I can remember
even a skunk day, sure beats working.

That brings up a good question, what makes a crick a crick, a stream a stream, and a river a river?

Iguess this all depends upon what part of the country you are from.
or like me Your Mother was from Texas and your Father is from Calif.
then either way is correct. LOL

Great question! I think "crick" is just PA-ese for creek, LOL. but here's a link to some definitions. Looks like it's all a matter of size, and what it runs into. Best---- JoeW
