Cool Today on the Water

This will be a thread to post results from your fishing trips...good or bad...I like to hear how other members trips go. Sometimes if you post what happened, other members can chime in with tips to make the next outing more successful. And post those pics! It doesn't have to be a lunker(heck...it doesn't even have to be a fish...I like seeing the lakes other members fish). Good luck out on the water everyone!

Cool

OK...I'll kick things off here. I just got back home from fishing with my uncle for a few days. We caught a bunch of small bass, none much bigger than a pound, but had a blast doing it! This time out they seemed most partial to Pumpkinseed colored worms...Powerbait 8" twistertails. I did manage to catch one bigger fish, a 3 to 4 pound "whisker bass"(hee hee...channel cat). He slammed that plastic worm, ever notice how hard a cat hits an artificial bait? The photo below is my uncle with one of those little bass.

Saturday all my girls and grand girls went fishing . Caught 80 pan fish blue gill , goggle eye , crappie and bass . This pond had everything except snakes . Which is unusual for Oklahoma . I'd like to say I caught a bunch of those fish . But I spent most of my time untangling line , dodging whizzing lures past my ear lobes and tip of my nose while I fetched cold drinks and munchies for those under 2 feet tall . In the end you all made out good . You don't have to pay the ransom I've escaped with my life . But I sure am pooped.

Enjoy it for as long as it lasts Toad. My granddaughter no longer has an interest in fishing, so now it's just the "Grumpy Old Men" (my regular fishing partner) on my fishing trips!
