Lightbulb Panfish Hook Remover

The small mouths of panfish make deep hook removal difficult . Here's a simple solution. Take a 6" piece of rib from an old umbrella and cut a 1/2" slot in one end. Put slot over hook while holding line taut. Then flip fish over and hook will turn out and fish will fall off hook. Works even with deeply hooked fish.

Sorta like what we did in bullhead fishing---run a stick down the mouth and spin the bullhead around it. The hook would come out every time without killing the fish.
