I have several of these that my father made for Canada pike fishing. This was in the early 60's. He used serving spoons.

I have done that, I do have one in which I tried to give it a bend sort of like a Daredevle but I got it offset and so it just spins. I need to do a new hook and color to this one and see if I can get it right, pictures when I get it done.

Another thing I used to do was take a piece of copper tubing and hammer it down and shape it. I have (had?) one which was sort of like a Daredevle which I actually caught channel cats on and one which was like a Little Cleo which I never caught anything on. I never did add any color and that might have been a mistake. I also made a few others out of some "road kill" copper tube that look so bad I will not post pictures unless I actually catch something on them.
