I'm finally home...I want to thank everyone for the prayers and well wishes. When I was getting wheeled into the O.R. I knew I was in good hands...Just had that feeling that someone was besides me. Thanks again everyone...looking forward to a full recovery and getting back to normalcy. God willing I will see most of you at the meet in June...God Bless!

Feeling a lot better Buddy, thank you. I still have some surgical pain, but that is slowly going away, along with some new pains...As for PT, walking is my only therapy until my legs get stronger. Its amazing how much strength and muscle mass you loose when not using a particular body part. I was laid up in bed for almost 2 months before I had surgery. Slowly but surely, I'm getting back to normal.

Boy you got that right Barresi! My PT last year after my surgery was far more painful than the surgery, but it was worth it to be free of the daily pain I was dealing with. My other shoulder may need to be done in the future too.

Glad to hear you are doing better. Soon you can go out and slay some stripers for me.

Was your back operation due to anything like this?

Back----------- Moderate to Severe L4-5 and Bilateral Lateral Recess

Moderate Canal Stenosis T3-4 & L2-3

This is how mine is now.

I was told to walk as much as I could.

I have been on Lyrica to help with the nerves.

So Far So Good.

Mine was moderate to severe L5-S1. My surgeon told me that there was a slight complication during the procedure. She found 2 nerves that were fused together, one being in a place that it wasn't supposed to be in. With that, she had to do a little more, call in an electrician and rewire some nerves..LOL. I'm just glad it's over, and I can start to heal. Im feeling so good now..I can actually stand tall and walk normal (with the aid of a walker)...and not be hunched over like a Neanderthal..LOL.

Electrician? Funny. You better pick your feet up walking on the carpet or you will shock everyone around you.
