Default bat crazy or crazy bat?

had an interesting day.. while out on lake Michigan, about 4 miles offshore salmon fishing, we had a bat in broad daylight fly around the boat several times. he was lost since it was so foggy and he was tired. finally he flew into cabin a couple of times and then landed on the under side of the canopy.. after watching us for a while he figured he was safe so the covered his eyes with his wings and went to sleep. he woke up once when we were rocked by some wave and flew down on my shoulder where he slept another half hr. guess i was moving around too much to suit him so he went back to the canopy after 30 mins of riding my shoulder.
finally I accidentally bumped him with the end of a fishing pole and he took off well rested. he may have flown back into the boat but we did not see him after that.

btw hooked two large kings but they took to the air and broke the line at the knot.

I like bats . Very cool . Those guy keep the bugs down . If it wasn't for them you couldn't breath without sucking up bugs .

Yeah, bats are very cool. I always see lots of them at sundown while fishing the lakes here in Arizona. They are in danger in the east due to the white nose fungus disease.

I sure don't see as many here where I live like I used to. my wife wants me to put up a bat house in the tree.
