The purists may not like it, but I now have this baby ready to fish. It is spooled with 10# test Stren monofilament line and mounted on a new 7' medium action Berkley Cherrywood rod. I plan on using it to fish Carolina and Texas rigged Toadfrog plastics during the day and black Arbogast Hula Poppers and Jitterbugs at night, as well as bait fishing with a slip sinker rig for channel catfish.

Well Mo, still too hot to go fishing, so I went out in the back yard today to get a feel for casting this @ 100 year old reel......it casts sweetly! Smooth as butter! I think I will probably get nearly the same distance as I get with my BPS and Quantum reels. Looking forward to actually fishing with it.
