Exclamation BoatU.S. membership

BoatU.S. is the AAA of boating. Basic membership (@$35) gives you $50 off any on water towing should your boat break down. A word of advice. $50 doesn't go very far when it comes to on the water towing! I have the upgrade to unlimited mileage on water towing (fresh water only) for @ $20. I've used this twice, once with basic membership (bill was $125, $50 off helped but....), I upgraded as soon as I got home, and once with unlimited towing. They towed me all the way back to the launch and put the boat on the trailer for me. Charge? $0. "Thanks for being a BoatU.S. member". You also get a great monthly magazine, "BoatU.S.", and they have a "BoatU.S. Angler " magazine available as well. I also have the trailer towing upgrade which provides unlimited mileage trailer towing in case of bearing failure or other trailer problems. With this upgrade you also receive "Trailering" magazine. With both upgrades my annual membership is @ $72 . That's great peace of mind insurance!!! I highly recommend BoatU.S. membership and upgrade insurance. I also have a VHF marine band 2 way radio on my boat. Channel 16 is the emergency channel that connects you with the Coast Guard, sheriff, or tow boat company. On both occasions where I needed a tow I hailed Vessel Assist on channel 16 and they were on the spot within 15 minutes! Plus my buddy with a VHF radio on his boat and I can communicate anywhere on the lake and discuss fishing conditions where each of us is located. Awesome!. You can purchase a decent VHF radio for @ $100, and a 4 'antennae for @ $50. I would never be without VHF on any boat I own.
Happy Fishing
