Went to Lake Erie today today. After 3 hours of watching every one else catch fish with me getting no bites I found out why I never catch walleye. It appears that if you tie a mono leader to your Fire Line walleye like it alot better. I don't know if they can see it or what but I spent the next hour catching my 4 fish limit None were huge but the 4 weighed in at just under 10 lbs. All in all it was a great day I learned something, caught fish and didn't get rained on.

Thanks. Still suprised it was my high tech line (recomended by my charter captian buddy) that was keepin the walleye off my line for the past 3 yrs

Yup little things can mean no fish even what you had such as your snacks cigs or gas on your hands can stop or reduce your bite ! Line color Seen those high vision lines suppose to be for you ,,but seems clear vanish by Berkeley has been my best results , good pics ,Bubs !

I'd love to go fish Erie, but Im afraid my boat isnt big enough,,been there one time on a charter, but it was a bad day to fish

Mine isn't either, I do a few charter trips each year and yeah it's kinda risky because you have to schedule em so far in advance. This last time we went out on a "head boat" from Port Clinton where you just pay per person instead of renting the boat. It's alot easier to pick a good day for your trip that way all you have to do is call the night before and have em save you a spot. I am not sure what side of the lake your on but look on line they prob have someone running one there.
