Default Sweet and Spicy Cole Slaw

Just a little dish to go with the your Fish dish or as a side for any Meal.

Ingredients
2 pounds green cabbage
4 carrots
1 medium yellow onion
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup mustard
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Directions
Cut cabbage in quarters and remove core. Peel carrots and onion and cut into pieces that would fit through the feed tube of a food processor. Fit food processor with the large-holed grater attachment and push cabbage, carrots, and onions through feed tube to grate. In a large bowl, toss vegetables together. Or just buy the package Cole Slaw like I do and I add the onion.

In another medium bowl, prepare the coleslaw dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, mustard, cider vinegar, sugar, black pepper, and cayenne. Toss dressing with the cabbage mixture, and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

cant wait to try this.
I will however have to leave out the onion. Cant eat them anymore.
I think this will go great with the hushpuppys and gills I will be fixing this weekend.

Thumbs up Man! Ten thumbs up!

Tried the slaw last night and just great! I've eaten slaw at a dozen different restaurants (with their fish fries!) and have never tasted such a unique recipe. Sweet and spicy! Does my pic show it the way it should look? Left out carrots- can't stand 'em unless seasoned with 6 lb pot roast! I'll be using that one often! Best--- joeW

cwd--- I'm hoarding my last couple Walleye filets until I grab a couple steelhead. Unfortunately, the plate was filled up with with Sirloins tips! I was waiting for them to finish cooking when I took the pic. I'll tell you, that is GREAT slaw! BTW, my wifey picked the plates- I wanted fish pictures! Best---- JoeW
