What do you shore fisherman for rod holders when plunking? I have used various setups from sticks to commercially bought holders.:D

I just cut a piece of schedule 80 pvc on a 45 degree angle to make it sharp on one end. then pound it in the ground at whatever angle I want . Slide the rod handle in . Hook on a bell or bite alarm . then go chase the kids moma around the camp fire.

I think I will make this my fishing tip for this week.

I normally fish from my boat, "Pooder Pie", however, I also do my share of shore line fishing. I have a great contraption for shore line fishing that I have dubbed "The War Wagon". It is a gardening wheelbarrow, made of green molded plastic, that is manufactured by Scotts. It has two larger wheels under the main part of the barrow, and two smaller ones under the rear. The original tires are made of hard plastic that makes a horrible racket when rolled over the ground. I replaced them with inflatable tires from a hand dolly. The barrow holds my two Plano tackle boxes, a small cooler, and my Sirius satellite radio, with ease. The black metal handle of this rig is secured in the work position by two screws with large knobs on the ends. They can be unscrewed and the handle swings under the barrow for easy loading in the back of my Subaru wagon or Blazer. In the rearward part of the barrow is a small molded in storage area with a drink holder molded in. I drilled 2 small holes in the front rolled edge near the side edges and also 2 more on each of the rolled side edges and slipped in 4 of the coiled steel rod holders sold at K-Mart, so is has a total of 4 rod holders. I simply place a fair sized rock under each of the larger wheels in front to keep fish from pulling the whole rig into the water. With the new inflatable wheels I can easily move along the shore with this whole rig and carry everything I need, including 4 rods. I will be using this rig this weekend, so I'll take some photos and post them next week for you all to examine. Bring on the fish!

The fold up chair is the best bank rod holder I've used, but I kind of want to sit in the chair instead.
