I have a Lowrance x67c and I never leave home without it. Never thought I would ever use one Ice Fishing. But it sure is another tool added to the tackle box when Fishing. I also have a Cabelas Underwater Camera that I use. I see many Fisherman using GPS's but I am not at that point yet.

I use a GPS they are great for marking hot spots, and tracking fish movement through the Winter. I never leave without it whether I'm going on the lake, hunting, or for a car ride. I use a Vexlar FL-8 as well it is a huge bait saver and easy fish finder. Don't even have to drill a hole just wet the ice down a little and it can read through it. :)

We use x-65 and Gps, Best thing is the atlantis underwater camera just to watch. Sometimes we just watch, no fishing, It is quite amazing.

I agree on the Underwater camera. Amazing to watch and see how the Fish are hitting.. There are times the strike indicator doesn't move and the Fish have inhaled the bait. Caught alot of Fish that I never knew where there if I didn't have the Camera and Fish Finder. Both are great to use.

Dugger I bet if you tried it you would like it. Makes it easier when you have the right equipement and are dressed for the conditions. I know I do not go on the Ice until it is 4 inches thick. Even then I sometimes tippy toe. I know that I will not leave home without my fishfinder. I would be lost on the ice without it.

Dugger I with you there brother. This is another old fat man who dont trust the ice.
If I was raised in the cold part of the country then I would have ice fished all my life.
but Im a warm weather boy.
and everyone knows what happens to ice when it gets warm.
my momma only raised one fool. and it wasnt me.
he lives in washington. and he ice fishes too

Every Christmas for the last few years my husband buys me electronics for the ice, I have a fish camera, a hummingbird, and finally got the best gift ever last year...a Vexilar FL 22 HD! I am not sure if there is anything left he can get me this year. I am one happy girl.:)

If it stays this cold, a fatman might go ,,my buddy drives his snowmobile out there and its way heavier than me, and he catch's some nice fat lakers and rainbows. So I will post pic of fatman on ice, can't wait four months to fish!!C'mon "CWD its gotta beat sking!!!!But!!! dat" ice gotta hold a snowmobile first he ain't fooling me!! My Buddy Ed definitly uses electronics ,swears by them,, as we all know they work and I know it gives you a sense of what kind of structure and if your fishing a dry hole ,or if marking fish ,,a different bait or fishing tactic as to depth changes or as I see it a set of eyes below the ice seems, ya got tohave one!

Here is a pic of what I use on the Ice and also use in my boat. I attach the transducer to a old tipup. Its a Lowrance x67c. I get to use this ONLY if I beat my Oldest Son to it...LOL
