Has any one here used theses?
My oldest daughter (she is 10.) & I were watching a commercial
about the Banjo Minnow.
She asked if we coould get some of them.
I order a set & they came in this morning. I know she will
want to go fishing tomorrow and try them.
Is there anything special we should know, about useing theses.
I know she will be expecting to catch a fish on every cast, just like the commerical

Well, I can tell you right off that bat that you wont be gettin a fish on every cast. Maybe if the fish are extra hungry or something.

I've seen RC helicopters commercials cut grass upside down, sure it's possible, but it ain't gonna happen!

Check this link out for some reviews, otherwise treat it like any other minnow you got...;)

I don't know anyone who has caught anything on these. Sencos are a better bait and a better buy as you only need to buy a small package for a couple dollars. But since you have them you might as well try them. Good luck.

I figured they were just another rubber bait.
but my daughter really wanted to give these a try.
so tomorrow we shall see.
I told her not to expect too much. as the fish around here are not bitting very well.
abd she will have to get the hange of using them.

Sounds like they were well worth it anyhow! Now you have another fishing story to talk about together! Keep trying- some day maybe they'll get you a bunch! Best---- JoeW

i bought em, and got the big pike pack.they work!you must rig em the way the video shows.and small little slight jerks, they make a reaction very similar to a dying minnow.i blew thru 4 rapala x-raps,losing them in timber, rocks, and to a large pike or musky, i had to try something.i had em in my box for over a year.anytime i get into some stumpy lakes i use em now because they have a decent cost effectiveness.not saying they work every day, but they do work.especially when fish are lethargic, or storm fronts make them finicky.

I will be trying them again.
the main reason I bought them, was to make my daughter happy.
out of 4 kids she is the only one who has shown any intrest in fishing.
we watched the dvd again last night. she looked at me and said.
we did something wrong. look how many fish they catch.
So hopefuly we will be able to try another spot this comming weekend.

Yes I have about 10 years ago I think. I did not even know they still sold them. They work good. Just like any other lure make shure you rig them right and use them in the right situation. If the fish are feeding on shad or minnows great use them but if the bass are feeding on crawdads then they might not work. My two largest bass ever came with these from two different lakes. Castaic lake California a 7 lbs and lake Lopez CA a 5.5 lbs. Where can I get some? They are good lures lots of ways to rig and work the lure. Good find.

i saw the same infomercial . my wife found me a set much like the banjo last spring. i had some good luck with them in the stumps at travis mc natt lake here in west tn. a slow twithy retrive made these magic shad look awful real to the bass on beds. but after the spawn when they were less agressive ....not so much. get em in some clear water and watch the action you'll know when you've got it looking right. presentation is so important.

I have had several sets of them over the years. The older ones did much better. The colors seemed to be more natural. The big ones for pike and musky are amazing! The are my GO TO bait when the big toothy critters are up in the shallows!

I saw that same infomercial! I was up late one night watching tv as usual when it came on. I love anything fishing related so I watched the whole thing and by the time that it was over, I was more sold than I had been on anything else I had ever seen advertised. LOL. I immediately wanted them and was so convinced in the "science" of it all that they talk about that I just had to have some. I didn't order immediately but found a pack in a Bass Pro shop in LA. So I bought them and wanted to use them immediately. I have used them....ONCE. LOL. Its not that I don't want to use them, but when I did use them that one time I expected unrealistic results I guess. I am afraid that I am not using them right or I am not duplicating the action that I am supposed to under water. I didnt' get a single bite. Now the thing of it is....I don't seem to get a lot of bites on anything that I use in the lakes that I use them on. LOL. Not a lot of good fishing water around here I guess, or maybe I'm just no good. LOL, but Ill pose that question in a different forum. But hey! They sure make me feel like something when I open up my tackle box and I see all those little rubber fishies!

Seriously, received for a Christmas present first year they came out, never caught a thing. Let the kids use them for practice casting.
