Greetings fellow anglers! I'm new here so I'll tell you a little about myself later but first how I got here. I recently made a post on another fishing site (North American Fishing Club) and it was suggested that I make simular post here.

That suggestion came from Bass or Bass? So here's that post

The last 4 years I've been involved with a program called Royal Family Kids Camp. We've just started preparing for this summer's camp. At no cost to the kids nor thier families we take kids aged 6-12 that are in the Department of Human Service program because they have been neglected or abused. I'm the camp fishermanhttp://www.fishingclub.com/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/FC/emoticons/biggrin.gif. I get to take these kids fishing http://www.fishingclub.com/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/FC/emoticons/smile.gif, an its a blasthttp://www.fishingclub.com/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/FC/emoticons/tongue.gif. Never pass up a chance to take a kid fishing, you'll get much out of it than you put into it- I guaranteehttp://www.fishingclub.com/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/FC/emoticons/smile.gif. Plus the kids will realy think you're coolhttp://www.fishingclub.com/DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/FC/emoticons/cool.gif.

Anyone who would like more info can go to www.philanthropig.com/royalfamilykidscamp (http://www.philanthropig.com/royalfamilykidscamp)

or contact me.

Now about me . I'm 56 years old retire factory worker- made John Deere tractors. I'm now an ordained minister (Assembly of God ). I love the outdoors- fishing and hunting and taking kids fishing and hunting. I live in Eastern Iowa.

Welcome to Outdoor-Fishing Panfish101. Hats off to you for what you are doing for the Kids. Nothing better then seeing a smile from a Kid when they catch their First Fish. As you surf thru the forum you will see that members here are active with Taking Kids fishing. Outdoor-Fishing has a Young Anglers forum just for Anglers 16 years of age and younger. Looking forward to seeing and reading your posts.

Camp won't be until July but after camp I'll post a few stories. But no pictures-no-
Against camp rules. Campers get a photo album of their week at camp but staff is not allowed pictures. Many campers have no contact orders for protection and we don't want to give abusers any idea of where camp is located.

That's a shame, but that's the way it is anymore, and your group is perfectly right in protecting themselves and the kids. There's nothing better than the smile on a kid's face when he's out fishing!

And, my hat's off to you, and all the others, that "Take kids out fishing"! My best---- JoeW

That's awesome Panfish. I've always believed that if more people were a little less concerned with helping themselves and a little more concerned with helping peple that need help this would be a different world. You not only get to go fishing but enjoy the look on their little faces when they catch something. Keep it up
