These jigs are my most cherished to fish I use them sparingly . They are labor intensive and expensive to make . Photo 2 , Photo 1 Is a jig I call Hawian Idol Don't know if the pic shows the design very well . I wish the features had been cut deeper in the mold because the way it is almost any kind of paint will cover them up . So I'm limited to clear and tints .

Those jigs are beautiful, toad! I especially like the ones in the second pic with the mallard flank feathers tied in! mallard flanks always give the "scale effect" look to jigs and flies, and those tiny little striped aren't something you can add with a marker! I'll bet you have some ducks running around without any side feathers, eh? Nice work, as usual!

AND, I like the wider gape hook on those! My biggest complaint with nearly all small commercial jigs is that the hook gape is so small, and with the line tie sticking up, the hook up percentage (at least for me!) is low! Best---- JoeW

Beautiful work Toadfrog. That Hawaiian Idol head is really nice, and I agree with JoeW about the feathers on the jigs in photo 2.

Joe Lost my mallards a year ago . I changed their pen put hog wire on the top thinking the could not fly out because their wings would not pass through the 4 x 4 hole . Baloney ! First flock south and them little suckers took off from the ground . As they approached the wire they folded those wings and went through like a bullet . All I could do was stand there trapping flies with my mouth open .
Thanks for the kind words of approval for my meager attempts at fly/jig tying .
Dugger , those jigs will catch anything with scale on it and some things that don't have scales .(bull frogs)
Cwd before it is over I will have you doing things like that .
