New Fishing Buddy

My truck broke down coming home from our oldest son's house :mad: Friday night. I called a tow truck to take the truck to a repair shop up the street from my house. The tow operator saw my B.A.S.S., N.A.F.C., and Bass Pro Shops stickers in the rear windows of my truck and car and asked me if I fish :confused:. We talked fishing for a while and I found out he lives about a mile and a half from my home. We're taking our boats to Lake Pleasant June 11-12 :cool:. So something good came from the breakdown. Oh, it is only a fuel pump, but can't get one till Thursday :(.

That's great about the new fishing buddy. You two might learn about a few new spots from each other. Sorry to hear about the fuel pump though.mine in my truck went out last year. I decided to save some $ and do it myself. I now know why they want 600$ labor to change it lol.

you never know when you might find a new fishin buddy and it helps to have those stickers up. Mine ended up falling off and i need to get new but the other day I pulled up on a double left and the guy next to me had the same NAFC and B.A.S.S stickers up. I shot the breeze with him for a few but wished that I had taken the time and asked him to pull over as it seemed that he probably lived close by.

I believe everything happens for a reason. Meeting a new fishing buddy is as good a
reason as any.

Met mine at Kmart and been best of buds since, and he can fish and has his own tackle and rods and a bayliner trophy I helped him find! Ya just never know who you will meet once fish talking starts.

Got the truck back today. Fuel pump, fuel filter, oil change, oil filter, air filter, chassis lube, towing, and diagnostic fee...............$702.doh
